Coaches

Oahu Baseball Academy is focused on developing players to be the best they can be, to learn how to win and be a great teammate. We have the top coaches in Hawaii that are committed to all of the players that come through our doors.

Our coaches have played at the highest levels of baseball and have been impactful players in Hawaii in their high school and college years.

Pi'Ikea Kitamura

Piikea Kitamura

(Baseball/Softball Hitting & Fielding)

  • Born and raised in Kane’ohe, HI
  • Graduated from Kamehameha Kapalama in 2009
  • Played at University of Hawaii Manoa
  • Signed with the Oakland A’s
  • Coaching since 2016, working with teams and players of all levels and ages. 
  • Served as the volunteer assistant at UH Manoa for 2 seasons (’19,’20)

Dane Sardinha

Dane Sardinha
  • Born and raised in Kahuku on Oahu
  • Graduated from Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama
  • Drafted in 1997 by the Kansas City Royals in the 2nd round
  • Attended Pepperdine University
  • Drafted in 2000 by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2nd round, 46th draft pick
  • 2000-2006 – Cincinnati Reds
  • 2007-2009 –  Detroit Tigers
  • 2010-2011 – Philadelphia Phillies

Wade Taoka

Wade Taoka

(Baseball/Softball Hitting and Fielding, Baseball Pitching)

  • Born and raised in Mililani, HI

  • Graduated from Mililani High School

  • Earned his college degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Hawaii-Hilo

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

  • Assistant Coach at Mililani High School (2022-present)

Kaiana Eldredge

Kaiana Eldredge

(Baseball & Softball Hitting, Fielding and Catching)

  • Born in Utah and moved to Oahu in as a freshman in highschool to attend Punahou School.

  • Graduated from Punahou in 2010. 

  • Earned All-State honors and capped of his senior year with a State Championship title.

  • Played college ball at the University of Kansas

  • In his time as a 4-year starter, earned All-Conference honors in multiple seasons, as well as voted Captain by teammates and coaches.

  • Drafted by the Cincinnati Reds

  • Private and team coaching since 2016 in Kansas, Utah, and Hawaii.
